I’ve always loved the iconic LP cover done by Peter Saville for Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures.

Not sure how I found this site, but here it is - a kind of visualisation of the illustration:

Even though this visualisaer is in the style of the album cover and doesn’t actaully represent the same type of waveform, it’s still pretty cool.
