I Hate

It’s summer, it’s hot and we’ve got fruit flies in the kitchen.

This always happens. We’ve got a small tub into which we put all our food scraps for the compost bin and we’re lazy and don’t always put the lid on it properly. So after a while fruit flies begin to appear and multiply. They fly in front of your face, buzz around your ears and eventually congregate on the windows - not only in the kitchen but all around the house. it doesn’t matter how long you leave the windows open, there’s always loads of them.

So I’ve looked online and found a solution - you’re supposed to leave a saucer of red wine or vinegar lying around and this attracts the flies. Going to lay a trap tonight and see what happens.
