Martin James Music Is Now Live

This project has been in the making for a few years now and I’m really pleased that it’s now live and open to the masses.

I say project as it’s not only the website that’s been in development, but also the print side of things too, namely the branding, the album covers / stickers / badges etc. but it’s all come together nicely and we’re all really pleased with the results. The Edinburgh based singer/songwriter Martin James came up with the concept of ‘Creative Platforms on the Circle Line’ and the station theme developed from that.

We decided to go for a horizontal scrolling website that would look just like a station platform with posters on the wall, benches and bins - we’ve even got an animated screen on the homepage that mimics train announcements. Each platform contains different information within the posters on the walls and these are colour coded according to which section of the station you are in.

Navigating the site is very much like navigating your way around a station too. You can’t get from platform 3.2 back to the homepage straight away, you have to go back the way you came - but there are plans to add a ’station sitemap’ to each platform to make navigating the site a bit more conventional in the future. This is just the start of an exciting project and we hope that it’s going to grow and develop and we’ll be adding lots of more exciting things to it as we go along.
