I Love

A few months ago I applied for a Craft/Artist Award from Fife Council and was awarded £500.

I want to learn basic metalwork / silversmithing and this award is to help with the cost of financing it all. I love free money!

It’s taken me a while to get round to spending the money, but as Cookson Gold had a free p&p deal this bank holiday weekend, I sat down and spent most of it in one go.

I bought all the essential tools I need to set up a basic workshop / studio at home, as well as some sheet silver and silver wire. I’ve still got some money left and I want to get a very simple workbench with that and IKEA have the perfect thing for £30…just got to wait until the end of May to get it as I don’t want to drive all the way to IKEA and back for one thing and might as well combine the trip with one I’m already making at the end of the month instead, so that I can save both on time and fuel.
