I’ve been learning basic metalwork / silversmithing and today learnt how to set a stone.

Instead of going for the simple option, I wanted to use some of the sea glass that I found on the beach as this is what I want to be able to do myself in the future, so it was in at the deep end straight away. This brooch took me a day to make and I had a lot of help from my teacher, because of the size of stone I chose and because of it’s irregularities.
