Today my Firefox browser went bezerk!

I’m sure when I switched off my PC last night it said it was installing some sort of Microsoft update and if that’s the case I reckon that’s what’s behind my browser going doo-lally today.

Nothing loads correctly and it’s such a weird bug because it’s so inconsistent. If I visit my own website and part of the style sheet loads, the rest doesn’t bother. On refresh suddenly flash won’t load but everything else does. On another refresh no styles are loaded and everything is left aligned. Refresh again, still no stylesheet and everything is centrally aligned.

I’ve spent most of today trying to fix it by uninstalling, reinstalling. Then going into the registry and removing all reference to firefox and reinstalling - nothing worked. Some of the guys on the web designer forum scratched their heads along with me and none of us could figure out what the issue was.

So I had no option but to re-install the Operating System from a previous backup and pray that it wouldn’t affect my files. After doing that I installed an older version of Firefox and things are getting back to normal now although I am scared of upgrading in case it happens again!
