Skip Finds

I Love
As I was driving to Kirkcaldy to walk the dog in the park [makes a refresshing change from walking her on the beach everyday], I noticed a skip at the end of oour road, piled up with stuff and made a mental note to go back and investigate it later.
We went out in the evening to see if there was anything worth salveging and came back with a tall mirror in a simple wooden frame, a lovely little wooden stool, a set of decorated dinner plates, some useful plastic sheeting and a tiny little elaborate plaster frame painted gold.
The mirror needs a little work and we’ll probably sand the frame and oil it and then fix it up so that it’s sturdy as it’s a bit loose at the moment.
The stool needs sanding down and oiling too. I removed the old upholstery from the top of it and will replace this with some of my funky vinstage fabric I’ve been collecting lately.
The plastic sheeting got immediate use as we’re insulating the loft at the moment and so this was laid down to protect the carpet.
The plates gots a good wash and will be used at parties.
The gold frame got hung up on the wall and is awaiting an image.
I love skip hunting!
