Proper Snow

There’s nothing like proper snow! We were driving up to Nairn for the w/e on Friday to visit my big sis and decided to stop off in Aviemore on the way to walk the dog. When we got there it was a winter wonderland - absolutely amazing!

The dog loved it and in no time was diving about all over the place digging for sticks and snowballs. The snow was so deep that sometimes she just disappeared underneath it. It was magical walking, sometimes wading, through the thigh deep snow - proper snow - nothing like the llight dusting we occassionally get at home.

We enjoyed it so much that on our way back home on Sunday we planned another stop in Aviemore and this time did a long walk around Loch An Eilein - it was so cold that my camera packed in and once back home we checked online to find that the temperature in Aviemore that evening was -18 degrees C.
