I was given this brilliant toy on my birthday - it’s a remote control car that carries a shot glass, which you fill up with alcohol. This toy comes with these really cute traffic cones that you place on the floor and the aim of the game is to steer your booze between the traffic cones - I guess the drunker you are the more difficult this gets.

However I found it difficult to manouver the car at all - nothing to do with my alcohol intake as at the time I was stone cold sober - it was a mechanical failure. It was very difficult to manouver the car left or right and trying to do a three point turn resultged in about 16 points instead of the usual three.

So it was boxed up and returned and I eagerly awaited it’s replacement. This arrived and I couldn’t wait to get the batteries in and start playing with it on the kitchen floor. I set it down, poisitioned my traffic cones and tried to move the car forward. Much to my disappointment, this replacement wouldn’t move forward at all, instead promptly spun round in circles on it’s front right wheel. It would move backwards OK, but not forwards.

I checked the wheels, I checked the controls but couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. So I did a few wheelies whilst the dog watched from underneath the kitchen table and before she pounced, decided to remove the batteries and pack it away. Looks like this will get returned as well. Should I go for ‘third time lucky’ and see if another replacement works, or admit defeat?
