Tony Hart

I Love
Today is a very sad day. A childhood hero died today at the age of 83. Tony Hart was a huge inspiration to me when I was little. I remember watching Vision On in the 70’s and then Take Hart in the 80’s.
I used to love the fact that Tony Hart would walk around his huge studio and from work desk to next creating the most amzing images from anything he laid his hands on. Sometimes he’s talk through his creation and sometimes he was just silent and you had to watch as an image slowly evolved and you eventually figured out what it was. Each sequence was often followed by a bit of animation set to music or an episode of Morph.
At the end of each of the Take Hart shows was The Gallery - a showcase of images sent in by viewers. I was glued to this show every week. Do kids get this kind of creative TV now a days?
