I Love

Swarms are amazing. I’m currently following the “Swarm: Nature’s Incredible Invasions” series on the BBC and the part about swarms of starlings was amazing.

We get swarms of starlings here in Kinghorn but not huge numbers, only small groups, so you never really see the fabulous formations/shapes/patterns they create in the sky like those shown in the program. It’s amazing how they move and synchronise their flapping wings. Seeing swarms in action reminds me of the black smoke that appeared every now and again in LOST - it moved in a similar way.
