There is nothing positive about this experience. I hate sending my books off to the accountant and then having to wait and wait for them to send me back the figures I don’t want to see.

I always get them back about three days before the deadline. I don’t trust the postal service to get my cheque in on time, so I prefer to pay by debit card over the phone. They always ask “what is the total amount you would like to pay” - there is not ‘want’ about it. I relunctantly tell the total amount and read out my card details really really slowly.

It always leaves me with a really sinking feeling.
