I saw this little guy being used as an avatar by lost.libertine on the Web Designer Forum and asked him where it originated. He pointed me in the direction of the Blur video for their song Coffee & TV and I watched it and fell in love with the wee thing! He’s so cute.

The song is pretty good too and although I’d heard that before, I’d never seen the video - hurrah for YouTube eh! The video is about a walking, animated milk carton who goes in search for guitarist Graham Coxon, who has gone missing. Coxon’s face appears on the side of the milk carton as a missing person advert at the start of the video. On his journey he has to avoid many hazards - a garden strimmer, kids kicking cans about, Big Suzy andscary things down a dark alley.

On his journey he falls in love with a lady strawberry milk carton, but she gets crushed by a passer by and he has to flee in a hurry. Mr Milky eventually finds Coxon playing “Coffee & TV” with Blur who then picks Mr Milky up and heads home to his worried family. Once there he drinks the milk from the carton and discards it in the bin, thus killing Mr Milky.

But it’s not sad ending as Mr Milky acquires a set of wings and flies up to heaven and on the way is re-united with his strawberry flavoured lady friend.
